Memorial Day Weekend

Image
Here's the update I promised. And...well, there's actually stuff to update.  Like I said, it was super busy. There were tons of people coming into town. I spent the whole weekend (after I helped out my parents) wandering around town, looking for anything weird. Well, weirder than normal. I've lived in this town for over a decade but I've never felt unsafe here...at least not until this weekend. I spent most of my wandering time around the restaurants. There's like...two or three places you can get food in this tiny little town: the pizza place, the ice cream place (both owned by the Starling family, who also owns one of the ranches), and a steakhouse (this one is run by the Rainer family. They are...extra weird). I got some weird looks from the waitress at the pizza place, one of the daughters, I think her name is Juliana or something like that. Another of the Starling kids was manning the ice cream place, Payton. I've met her before and she's kind of nice.

Small Update

Hey, sorry for not posting in a couple of days. I've had to help prepare for this weekend. Holiday weekends are always super busy for the business I work at here in town (I'm like...80% sure this blog is secure but I still don't want to risk exposing myself, so I can't say which business). I've also been preparing in case I see anything weird. Lots of tourists come through and lots of people go missing on holidays, and I'm hoping I can either stop that from happening, or figure out what's happening to these people in the first place. Wish me luck I guess. I'll update you guys on Tuesday.

Seasons

I'm kind of glad winter is finally getting over. It always feels way too long here. Besides, autumn is my favorite season, so I'll get to enjoy that for the next month or so, unless God forbid we get another snowstorm.  I don't think that's a weird Winter Hollow thing, I think it's just a Wyoming thing. Sometimes right when the leaves are about to reattach to the trees is just starts snowing, and it's kind of annoying.  Ah well. It'll stop eventually and we'll get that crisp, wonderful autumn I love so much.

A More In-Depth Overview

This is what people voted for. I figured this might be what people wanted to know about. This post might get a little long, so buckle up. Fair warning, my family moved here and I'm not technically a local, so I don't know as much as I would like. But I'll tell you all what I know. Winter Hollow is a really, really tiny town. Like, a max of 150 people live here. There's not much around here aside from a few restaurants, a gas station/convenience store/bar, and some other touristy shops. From what I've been able to dig up so far from the library (I don't know why there's a library here and not like...something more useful), it might have been a mining town at one point in time? I'm not sure. There's really nothing for historical documents anywhere in this town. As of now, a lot of the money coming in comes from tourism and whatever it is that comes off of the two ranches outside of the main town. One side of the town borders the Hartwood Forest, which

What Should I Write About First?

I was thinking about what I wanted to post about first after I got my initial warning out and uh...I didn't realize how much there was. I've been living here so long that things that would be weird to anyone else are sort of fading into background noise. I also have nothing specific come to mind that's super important at the moment, so I'm kind of stuck. In the end, I decided that I'm going to post a list of stuff and let you all decide (I see all of you there lurking). Comment what you want to know about the most. -The weird animals. -A more in-depth explanation on what happens when I try to leave. -A personal story from my childhood. -A more in-depth post about the town itself. -Something else (please specify).

Hi

Hopefully this is going through... Hi there. I don't know if the sigil is actually working (I don't do magic; my friend gave me the sigil and the incantation, and I'm not sure how reliable all this shit is anyways. They could just be screwing with me for all I know.), so I won't tell you all who I am yet. Doing so would put me and my family at risk. My wifi is also really bad out here since I'm in the middle of the woods but I'm used to that.  There is something I need to tell you though. Have you ever heard of a town called Winter Hollow? It's in the state of Wyoming (does Wyoming even exist...?). If you have, you probably already know what I am going to say. If you haven't, here's your warning: Stay away from Winter Hollow. There's something...weird about this town. Things don't quite fit and make sense like they should, and most of the people who stop here end up disappearing. I'm not even sure there is a way out of this town. If there
